La edición 73 de los premios Emmy se llevará a cabo el domingo 19 de septiembre en el Event Deck del LA Live en Los Ángeles, California y contarán con Cedric the Entertainer como el anfitrión de la gala, mientras que la cadena de televisión TNT transmitirá en vivo para México y América Latina la ceremonia que debido a la pandemia de Covid-19 tendrá cupo limitado y sólo podrán asistir cuatro personas por nominación, lo que supone que no todas las estrellas estarán presentes. A partir de las 18:00 horas (tiempo del centro de México) dará inicio la transmisión.
Los premios primetime Emmy honran a lo mejor de la televisión estadounidense, premiando a las mejores series y miniseries del año, incluyendo plataformas de streaming.
